As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the Tax Manager and the Head of Tax with all aspects of the Bank’s tax work.
Depending on the team, most of our roles offer flexible working.
So what would you be doing?...
•Preparing quarterly Group VAT returns
•Support with annual Corporation Tax return and R&D analysis
•Preparing the annual PAYE settlement agreement (PSA) for all entities
•Prepare periodic transfer pricing calculations and accounting entries
•Prepare / review various tax accounting journals and tax balance sheet reconciliations
•Collaborating with the tax team on tax automation, maintaining robust financial controls and standard operating procedures across the bank
•Develop and motivate more junior colleagues within the team
•Providing ad hoc tax advice across the bank as required

•To be successful in this role you will need to be a fully qualified professional (CTA, ACA, ACCA) with a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience
•Naturally, you will have a solid understanding of VAT
•In order to hit the ground running, knowledge of direct taxes including current and deferred tax accounting principles would be desirable
•It would be great if you have worked in a tax advisory firm or financial services company
•It is key, you are an advanced user of Microsoft Excel
•Excellent communication skills, analytical mind-set and a collaborative approach.
