Are you a financial planning and analysis champion? Can you utilise data to understand and surface key business drivers? Would you like to collaborate with stakeholders and challenge the business to make strategic decisions? If yes, then we may have the role for you. 

As the strategic Business Partner (Operations) you will support the Executive Leadership Team to mitigate financial risk and ensure financial targets are successfully met. You will build trusting relationships quickly with senior stakeholders, providing insightful forward looking analysis and using that to improve financial management. Additionally, you will support budget and forecast processes, providing accurate cost driver information and risks/opportunities to budget. 

Depending on the team, most of our roles offer flexible working.

So what would you be doing?...

•Driving enterprise-wide strategic analytics, business performance optimisation, strategic planning, cost management and transformation
•Leading complex processes: long term financial and strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, process efficiency as well as effectiveness including through implementation of new system solutions
•Providing timely, insightful and commercial commentary and discussion with the business, with risks and issues and proposed solutions
•Inputting into board and Exco papers, investor packs under tight deadlines; driving business strategy and influencing senior levels

•Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
•Naturally you will have strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, for analysing data, preparing storyboards and proposing actions / initiatives
•In order to hit the ground running, you will need previous experience of strategic planning, investment appraisal and financial performance reporting
•We will need you to have experience implementing strategic initiatives and driving transformational change
•You will be able to deal with ambiguity, develop recommendations and drive solutions proactively/autonomously
•Naturally, you will have sound understanding of managing complex processes with multiple stakeholders
•Numeracy, attention to detail and a logical approach to problem solving
•It would be amazing if you have professional certification such as (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
