 What you will do:

 

As the Regulatory Change Accountant, you will primarily be responsible for keeping abreast of upcoming regulatory changes and assess, deliver and implement the associated requirements for Metro Bank, to ensure we comply with all applicable regulations and protect our customers. 
 

•   Keep abreast of regulatory change requirements in an accurate and timely manner

•   Implement changes to data/processes/systems to deliver accurate regulatory reporting

•   Areas of interest currently include COREP, FINREP & Basel 3.1

•   Further enhance efficiencies in reporting procedures

•   Represent the business in the value stream model

•   Support automation of regulatory reports into 3rd party software

•   Improve data quality to improve reporting, e.g. new data fields in ODS and T24

•   Produce reports and present to the senior leaders as required

•   Liaise with internal stakeholders (Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, IT) to ensure the completeness and accuracy of

    regulatory data

•   Lead or support regulatory reporting change initiatives, including system upgrades, regulatory reforms, and process

    redesign

•   Prepare working papers and evidence for internal and external auditors, and respond to audit queries

•   Ensure a robust control environment around regulatory reporting, including documentation, control testing and remediation

    of issues

•   Support the enhancement of data governance practices relating to regulatory data and reporting

What you will need: 
 

•   Knowledge and experience of delivering Regulatory Reporting Change  

•   Working knowledge of FINREP, COREP and Liquidity returns

•   Ability to analyse and explain reports and movements to senior management

•   Strong analytical skills to assess the impact of changes on Metro Bank

•   Excellent attention to detail as the completed reports will be sent to the Banks regulatory supervisor

•   Collaborate with stakeholders across the Bank to drive change

•   Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
