 What you will do:

 

• As a Reconciliations Specialist at Metro Bank, you will be part of a team that reconciles over 6,000 internal accounts daily to identify transactional differences for investigation which may have been caused by system incidents, process errors or misuse

• Precise and timely reconciliation of all operational accounts to daily SLA’s on ‘Accurate’, ‘AutoRek’ and Excel

• Production of accurate reconciliation break reporting to the appropriate business areas 

• Production of accurate escalated break reporting of aged items using Excel pivot tables

• Follow up and support business areas with the timely resolution of breaks and bumping up of breaks of concern (e.g. system incident, high value, potential loss etc)

• Perform intraday checks and controls to ensure any new accounts are identified, SLAs are met, and high value breaks identified

• Monitor for changes to activities on accounts and look for continuous improvement to reconciliation processes, raising and completing JIRA requests for the BR team as required

• End of month reporting, balancing accounts to internal and external sources, saving reconciliation evidence for audit and extracting reports / data for MI analysis

 What you will need:

 

• Experience in the basic principles of reconciling (e.g. what is a Nostro, what is Rec-break, what is aged analysis)

• Experience of using a reconciliation tool – ‘Accurate’, or the equivalent

• Experience using Microsoft Excel for reconciliation and data analysis

• The ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines / SLAs

• A high level of attention to detail is critical

• Good understanding of Metro Bank internal systems (T24, Accurate and TS2 etc.)

• Understanding of the basic principles of double entry accounting, creating/using rec break reports or aged analysis reports, payment investigations/resolutions

• Experience of domestic and International Payments
