As the Mortgage Operations Team Leader, you will lead a team of specialists delivering amazing service to our customers who have applied for a mortgage with the Bank. You will act as a point of contact to provide operational and technical support, making sure Mortgages Conduct of Business (MCOB) compliance is fully observed. You will be responsible for monitoring, managing and reporting on Service-Level Agreements for all activities in Mortgage Operations, making sure that MI is accurate.

So what would you be doing?...
• Prioritising the team’s daily workload to make sure tasks are completed accurately and within the agreed timeframes
• Developing colleagues and making sure that they understand the end to end mortgage application lifecycle
• Working closely with various teams across the Bank to develop working methods and grow productivity
• Dealing with all aspects of documentation and due diligence for regulated and non-regulated mortgage lending
• Looking after operational controls and making sure that they are in line with the training and competency scheme
• Reviewing procedures and challenging processes in order to improve both our colleague and customer journeys
• Attending risk forums to discuss trends in mortgage operations standards

• You will have previous experience working within a mortgage operations environment and on boarding customers
• Naturally, you will be able to drive change within a team - embracing new working practices and challenging old methods to find better ways of working
• It is key that you have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of mortgage lending and can communicate and share this expertise with the team
• If you have a CeMAP qualification, that would be FANtastic, however this is not requirement
