As a Local Director at Metro Bank you are responsible for delivering the Metro Bank brand and business model in the local Community, across the Commercial Banking and Retail Banking markets. You will play an active role in the local community; organising store networking events, being involved in local business community groups, and promoting Metro Bank in the local market, providing an amazing customer service creating FANs. This is what the job involves... •You will be responsible for directly managing the Local Business Manager and Store Manager whilst indirectly responsible for a team of 20-25 people across your Store •Extensive knowledge of the Commercial Banking industry having worked, or the ability to work, with lending cases over £1 million
•Networking in the local community to attract a wide range of trading businesses to Bank with you through our enhanced offering and exceptional customer service
•Working in the local community to attract both business and retail deposits by building relationships
•Setting up introductions with local businesses generally ranging between the £10 – 25 million turnover and then passing through to the relevant contact in the Commercial Lending Team to service on an on-going basis (larger organisations will also be involved so a solid understanding of Commercial Lending to adapt to any organisation is required)
•Facilitating introductions to other areas of the business, such as Private Banking, Mortgages and Metro Bank SME
•Providing leadership with issues, conflict resolution, process improvement development and communication
•Completing 1 to 1 reviews with the Store Manager and Local Business Manager so you can ascertain any areas of development needed

•Business generation/networking and local marketing experience
•Knowledge of bank product lines and services as well as an understanding of branch operations and security
•Strong presentation, analytical, interpersonal and collaborative skills with all internal and external customers
•Working knowledge of banking products, services, processes and IT systems with a track record of delivering robust branch operations and security
•Ability to, or proven track record of being able to attract sizeable retail and commercial deposits
•Extensive leadership experience
•Evidence of consistency and progression in career to date
•Passionate about providing unparalleled levels of service and convenience for customers
