As our Internal Communication Channel Copywriter, you will be a key part of our internal communications team. You need to have a flair for communications that are not only beautifully written, but thoughtfully crafted to inform, involve and inspire.
Guided by our Internal Communications Manager, you will be responsible for creating clear, engaging and beautifully written communication, so people have the awareness, understanding, commitment and opportunity to play their part and become brand advocates. You’ll also be a hawk-eyed proofreader, quick to spot and fix a mistake. In a nutshell, you will blend your skills with our unique brand personality to deliver first-rate copy for all our internal communication channels, such as our intranet, Yammer and email.
Depending on the team, most of our roles offer flexible working and you will work remotely temporarily due to COVID-19.
So what would you be doing?...
• Writing colleague communications across multiple channels, with consistent messaging
• Guarding and developing our tone of voice, and making sure every piece of content brings to life our Metro Bank tone of voice
• Managing process flow and frequency of communication to ensure we have a regular drumbeat
• Provide colleagues with simple and accurate information so they can Surprise and Delight customers by getting things right first time
• Working with closely with Corporate Affairs, business stakeholders and external agencies to develop and deliver best-in-class communications.
• Being fully accountable for deliverables to often to tight deadlines
• Developing strong working relationships with your colleagues and other teams across the business.

• We need you to have experience working as an internal Communications Assistant, Content Writer or Associate Copywriter
• To be amazing in this role, you need to have the ability to translate complex products, procedures and processes into simple and easy to understand messages and have superb written skills
• An English or Journalism degree would be beneficial
• You’ve got to have lots of new ideas, love improving things and bringing people with you
