 What you will do:

 

As the Head of Investor Relations together with the Director of Finance, CFO and Executive Committee (ExCo) you will develop strategies and initiatives to maintain and enhance communication and relations between Metro Bank and the investment community.  
 

•   Plan and execute the bank’s Investment Relations (IR) programme and priorities and prepare all market announcements both planned (according to the reporting cycle) and unplanned

•   Develop strategies to target and attract new long-term investors. Determine and manage, over time, appropriate split between different investment types, styles and geographies

•   Co-ordinate the collection, analysis and presentation of feedback to the company of investors’ perceptions and opinions, analysts’ views and forecasts, relative stock price movements, valuation analysis and periodic ownership analysis

•   Maintain analyst relationships and a fresh view of market consensus forecasts, regulatory comparing to internal forecasts and performance

•   Monitor share register development and changes over time

•   Manage the day-to-day relationship with the bank’s brokers

•   Collaborate with Company Secretary to deliver AGM and any shareholder communication on governance matters (e.g. Board changes, Remuneration)

•    Fulfil requirements under the Disclosure Procedures Manual to support the Disclosure Committee with advice on insider projects and applicability of Class Tests under the Listing Rules

•    Coordinate advisors in accordance with the bank’s Defence Manual as needed

•    Manage external suppliers including brokers / rating agency / other corporate advisors as well as other systems suppliers

 What you will need: 
 

•   Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders

•   Excellent experience of investment banking or an in-house Head of Relations 

•   Ability to lead and contribute to complex projects e.g. capital raises involving multiple internal stakeholders and external advisors, external reporting events and being part of the preparation team for the ARA

•    Excellent knowledge of capital markets and how they operate

•   Strong understanding of regulations including MAR, FCA listing rules and disclosure and transparency rules, corporate governance regime

•   Experience of credit rating agency methodologies and working processes

•   Experience of preparation of financial statements or financial communication  

•   CFA or chartered accountant qualification
