Due to growth, we are expanding our FCRC team here at Metro Bank and are looking for a Financial Crime Risk and Control Specialist to join our Triage team. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the review, effective implementation and ongoing compliance of the bank’s policies and minimum standards across our customer facing business areas. You will focus on triaging new cases and documenting your findings in a structured way so that these are passed to the correct teams for deep dive. You will also have input on how we adapt our processes and training to the changing landscape of Financial Crime legislation, to ensure we are working in the best way to continue to create fans.

So what would you be doing?...
•Undertaking initial reviews of a volume of identified high risk customers
•Reporting your initial findings and recommendations with stakeholders across the FCRC Team and the wider Bank
•Acting as a subject matter expert for high risk customers to make sure the bank aligns to regulatory expectations
•Supporting the implementation and ongoing monitoring of necessary controls to bring distribution channels in line with AML/CTF, sanctions, ABC and anti-tax evasion policies
•Implementing risk-based approach to Financial Crime controls based on the Financial Crime risk assessment and risk appetite
•Helping to embed Financial Crime related policies as required by business and regulation changes
•Supporting the production of MI and risk/resilience reports in accordance with governance requirements

•Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
•You will have experience of undertaking CDD reviews on a variety of high-risk customers in a financial services role
•A good understanding of bribery and corruption, as well as money laundering legislation and how it impacts on completing CDD and EDD reviews would be required
•Naturally, you will have experience working specifically on Financial Crime within financial services
•We need you to have experience in supporting business in assessing higher risk customers as part of customer acceptance and review process
•In order to exceed in this role, you will have strong communication, attention to detail and analytical skills
•A relevant AML or Financial Crime qualification would be desirable but is not essential
