As the Automation Architect, you will work in our amazing Enterprise Architecture function, helping us understand, design, architect, exploit, innovate and automate across all aspects of our Business Process landscape. You’ll establish relationships across the Bank and assume responsibility for our business process ecosystem, connecting it to domains including customer journeys and business capabilities and maintaining the meta-model and taxonomy.

So what would you be doing?...
• Utilising automation technologies to adopt the optimum architectural approach for when to use the right tool to achieve the greatest business value
• Responsible for architecting standards, patterns and guardrails that balance the best technology services with speed to market
• Hosting requirement gathering and business process design workshops
• Designing, developing, and testing solutions to automate business processes, activities, and tasks through technologies including BPM, RPA, and other workflow automation platforms
• Architecting and participating in the deployment of automation technologies including bots, orchestrators, development tools, and systems integrations
• Providing technical direction on design considerations, including performance, scalability, availability, maintainability, and auditability

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
• You will have a deep level understanding of at least 2 automation / workflow technologies such as UI Path, Camunda, Blue Prism, Pega, ServiceNow, Appian, the Microsoft Power platform
• You must have experience of designing reusable and maintainable processes using BPMN, CMMN & DMN
• It is essential you have the ability to quickly gain the confidence of the business and colleagues through good communication and influencing skills, simplifying complex messages
• You will need experience working within Financial Services deploying Automation technologies
