Are you an Auditor in Invoice Finance?  Can you take ownership for assessing customers and prospects suitable for Asset Based Lending? Do you enjoy collaboration and providing a first class service and finding solutions? If yes, then we may have the role for you.

As an Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting audits and performing due diligence for new and existing Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lending customers.  You will assess their cash flow profile and receivables / inventory collateral (security) for Invoice Finance and other facilities.  You will be identifying and confirming the customer’s needs, as well as spotting potential areas of risk, and making recommendations that meet the customer’s needs whilst keeping the bank safe and secure.  This role is a key touch point for our customers to experience what makes Metro Bank’s brand and culture so different and an opportunity to endorse creating fans.

Most of our jobs offer the opportunity for hybrid / remote working. Ask your recruiter for more details.

So what would you be doing?...

•Performing audits and surveys within Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lending. You will be travelling to current/prospective customers to undertake this
•Identifying where the collateral does or does not support the facility proposed/given and/or the customer is experiencing cashflow difficulty that needs to be redressed
•Analysing the problem and report the facts, making recommendations to assist the customer and/or protect the bank as appropriate
•Demonstrating to customers your empathy, understanding and creativity to their cash flow situations
•Collaborating with our FANS to complete your allocated audits in a timely manner
•Producing a report to the Relationship Manager/Business Development Director swiftly after an audit or survey has been undertaken
•Acting ad hoc or at short notice to survey new customers and provide a quick turnaround on the report write up to progress the prospect of converting them into a fan.

You need to be this kind of person…

•Passionate about providing unparalleled levels of service and convenience for customers
•Able to work and learn quickly in a fast paced, fun and dynamic environment
•Prepared to stick at something - we get nervous if someone has jumped from job to job as we want people who are prepared to learn and grow
•Care about doing a great job and exceeding expectations with the quality of what you do

And... we are a bank so risk is a part of everything we do. We love people who take responsibility, do the right thing for customers, colleagues and Metro Bank and have the courage to call out any concerns.

We always support colleagues to develop their skills. But to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to do most of these wonderful things...

•Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
•Naturally, you will need to understand how Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lending works
•To be successful in this role, you will need knowledge of products supplied within invoice finance, the associated risks in lending against debtor collateral in different sectors and stages of a customer lifecycle
•It is key that you have a good understanding of accounting and financial analysis and cash flow management for a business customer
•We need you to be able to identify red flags, that may be warning signs that the customer has early signs of cash flow pressure and signs that the customer is unhappy with the facilities provided
•You will need an eye for detail and a nous for spotting where further investigation is needed
•To be successful in this role, you will have experience of identifying opportunities for other products or services provided by Metro Bank

Important Footnote Diverse teams really are the best teams. We know that candidates (especially women, research tells us) may be put off applying for a job unless they can tick every box.  We also know that ‘normal’ office hours aren’t always doable, and while we can’t accommodate every flexible working request we are happy to be asked.  So if you are excited about working with us and think you can do much of what we are looking for but aren’t sure if you are 100% there yet… why not give it a whirl? Please note that sometimes we may close a job earlier for applications if we are inundated with amazing candidates.. Good luck!
