As an Asset Finance Collections Specialist at Metro Bank you will be passionate about making every wrong right, if you are a keen problem solver this could be your dream job! Our Collections Specialist collects outstanding arrears on behalf of our Asset Finance team. As we support businesses to grow some customers may fall into arrears. But all is not lost, we have you on hand to support them through difficult times and set them back on the path to success!

So what would you be doing?

• Reaching out to customers who are in arrears to organise repayment
• Exploring repayment solutions with the customer, making sure you are doing this in the best interests of both the customer and the bank
• Writing letters to customers confirming their arrangements to pay monies owed
• Creating reports for the wider Asset Finance team which detail outstanding payments and arrangements made with customers
• Liaise with external parties such as outsourced debt recovery companies, trace agents and third party debt management companies
• Action Court Orders efficiently within regulatory timeframes; ensuring compliance and regulations are followed
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to manage account closures and debt write off
• Responding to internal and external customers quickly and professionally

• Have knowledge of the day-to-day collections processes from pre-arrears to resolution
• Experience of speaking with customers on the telephone in a similar environment
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines
• Be able to assess the affordability of repayments for customers
• Ideally you would have worked in a similar role within an Asset Finance team previously, this will help you to understand the potential risks to customers in this industry
