As a Mortgage Operations Specialist, you will act as a subject matter expert for the Mortgage Operations department, taking responsibility for customer, colleague, broker and solicitor queries from the stage of mortgage application through to completion. You will work with various stakeholders to make sure that amazing customer service is delivered at all times.

So what would you be doing?...

• Prioritising and managing your workload to make sure that the completion of tasks is not delayed
• Dealing with all aspects of documenting and due diligence for regulated and non-regulated mortgage lending from application to completion
• Handling any queries relating to mortgage origination, whether they are from store colleagues, brokers or our colleagues in Mortgage Distribution team
• Liaising with mortgage customers, relationship managers, brokers and solicitors to help move cases through from application to completion efficiently 
• Interpreting mortgage offer conditions and liaising with solicitors in line with the UK finance handbook 
• Making sure that that mortgage conduct of business (MCOB) compliance is observed in all aspects of the role

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
• In order to hit the ground running, you will have experience of the mortgage origination process and on boarding customers (know your customer)
• Naturally, you will have great communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
• It would be fantastic, if you have knowledge of MCOB, TCF and MMR, however this is not requirement
