As the Finance Risk and Control Manager, you will lead the team and work closely with various colleagues across the Bank to establish the best finance risk and control environment. Metro Bank’s wonderful Finance team provide integral financial information and advice, meaning that we can continue to grow in a secure way and create even more fans.

So what would you be doing?...
•Supporting the finance risk and control function
•Driving forward the finance agenda and making sure risks and issues are well understood by your colleagues
•Testing and enhancing Finance controls
•Supporting the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the risk and control framework
•Organising and managing monthly finance risk committees
•Ensuring appropriate measures are in place to assess performance of core processes and key controls
•Embedding appropriate governance, within the Finance function, with appropriate adherence to control standards, with issues escalated to the senior management
•Building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring risks and issues are well understood for senior buy-in to support change
•Driving ongoing risk assessment of finance policies, processes and SOPs; identifying control gaps and developing appropriate remediating controls

•Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
•Naturally, you will have a proven track record of analysing finance issues and testing results to identify required actions and systemic problems
•To be successful in this role, you will have prepared monthly and quarterly reporting, delivered accurate and timely MI and have experience of the process of "review and challenge"
•We need you to be comfortable and have experience of managing senior stakeholders
•You will have first class understanding of working in a risk or controls role within Finance
•In order to hit the ground running, you will need a strong working knowledge of the UK regulatory regime and regulatory capital requirements
•It would be amazing if you have a professional qualification or equivalent (ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc.)
