This is an incredible opportunity to become the voice of the British Banking Revolution.

Are you obsessed with words and creating beautifully written communications? Would you love to speak to our amazing customers and develop our ‘Tone of Voice’ guidelines, bringing to life our unique brand?

The Copywriter is based within our Customer Communications team, and the main purpose of the role is to write brilliant communications, and to ensure amazing delivery of small copy changes.

If you can picture yourself working in our in house-studio, using your love of words and creativity to shape a rapidly growing retail bank, then read on! 

This is a new role so there is a blank canvas, with an opportunity to deliver a differentiated brand experience to our customers at every touchpoint.

So what will you be doing……..?

• Writing communications throughout the customer journey and across multiple channels, including our website and campaign activity
• Owning and developing the Tone of Voice across all customer touchpoints
• Working with internal customers, agencies and digital teams, to develop and deliver best-in-class communications
• Delivering minor copy change requests
• Planning your own workload, set SLA’s for the wide and varied range of customer briefs but also have the ability react quickly if occasionally required

• You LOVE improving things and bringing people along the journey with you
• Your writing can be clear, friendly, professional and, most of all, fresh

And whilst we always aim to train for skill where possible, on this occasion we are looking for someone who is already able to do all these wonderful things...

• Experience as a Copywriter for a well-respected brand, perhaps in a Retail environment
• Previous involvement in creating Tone of Voice guidelines and implementing them
• Advertising agency experience would be advantageous
• An English, Journalism, or Art degree would be beneficial
• Very organised and self-motivated
