So what would you be doing?
• Creating fans in your commercial real estate banking customer network by telling them about the commercial real estate banking proposition at Metro Bank
• Attending networking events and developing long lasting relationships that will support you acquiring, keeping and growing a portfolio of commercial banking clients
• Identifying lending opportunities from our commercial banking customers and prospects, enabling them to grow and achieve their business goals
• Being a sounding board to existing and potential customers. Talking to them and understanding their business. Supporting their growth aspirations through tailored debt and deposit solutions alongside delivering outstanding customer service. You can also talk to them about switching their whole Bank account to Metro
Responsible for Commercial and Residential Development and Investment lending opportunities including specialist assets such as student accommodation.

• Demonstrate a passion for understanding and getting to know the strategies and ambitions of real estate investors and developers. You will need to be an expert in real estate finance, understanding the risks associated with lending into this sector, and how to structure a lending proposition to deliver for the customer whilst keeping the Bank safe
• Managing an existing portfolio and taking new transactions through the credit process – you will need to understand a real estate lending proposition and have a good eye for detail. It’s important that you ask lots of questions to make sure that we are lending responsibly and keeping the Bank safe. Ideally you will have previous experience of writing deals ranging from c£2m - c£15m
• Being an ambassador for the Bank and the Real Estate Finance team: spreading the word and making the Bank the first port of call for professionals in the sector
• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
