The need to protect Metro Bank and our customers from the impact of money laundering and terrorist financing has never been greater or more challenging. As an AML Systems Analyst you will be a technical Subject Matter Expert for all aspects of customer screening, payment screening and transaction monitoring. You will work closely with AML Specialists and Investigators and the AML management team, making sure that all our regulatory obligations are met and that Financial Crime teams are able to manage risks effectively with efficient processes.

So what would you be doing?...
• Being a Subject Matter Expert in the Bank’s AML solution - BAE NetReveal
• Through in-depth analysis, ensuring that our technology, including BAE NetReveal, is effectively managing the Bank’s money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions risks across customer screening, payment screening and transaction monitoring
• Supporting the Head of Financial Crime Technology, ensuring the correct balance between operational efficiency and risk appetite
• Obtaining feedback from colleagues and BAE to optimise performance of NetReveal
• Dealing with bump ups for technical issues raised by colleagues and working with key stakeholders to recommend appropriate action
• Responding to general Financial Crime enquiries from across the Bank relating to Managed Systems
• Developing and managing a suite of weekly and monthly MI required to manage activity across the team and demonstrate effective screening and monitoring

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
• In order to hit the ground running, you will have experience in screening and transaction monitoring systems (for example BAE NetReveal)
• It is key that you have a good understanding of the money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions threats and risks across financial institutions
• We need you to be familiar with constructing structured query language (SQL) queries and analysing complex data sets
• Naturally, you will have extensive knowledge of the regulatory requirements for customer screening, payment screening and transaction monitoring
• You need to have experience of writing, implementing and tuning transaction monitoring rules based on in-depth transactional analysis
• To be successful in this role, you will display great stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to approach people at all levels of seniority
